Information - Richard Connolly Photography

My name is Richard Connolly and I enjoy photographing vintage, veteran and classic cars in a wide variety of settings, ranging from muddy fields to stately homes.

I like photographing cars and also the people who own, drive and appreciate them. So you will see lots of people enjoying themselves in my photographs as well as cars.

This interest has seen me at a variety of motor sport events in the UK, and motor shows, events and museums in Europe, America and New Zealand. Needless to say I have always had my camera with me!

I started taking photographs many years ago when I worked for Kodak. They sponsored me to undertake a City and Guilds in Photography. More recently, I achieved an Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS), based upon a portfolio of images of the Vintage Sports Car Club of Great Britain.

I have considerable experience of photography and in addition to photographing vintage, veteran and classic cars I have also been fortunate to photograph people and places around the world.

Over the last few years I have specialised in photographing events organised by the Vintage Sports Car Club of Great Britain. Photographing at a wide range of their meetings including trials, racing, autosolo and concourse. My aim, to capture the feeling of the events as well as the cars in action.

I have also photographed a wide range of classic cars at other meetings, including those organised by the South-Cheshire-Raiders. At some, I have been fortunate to ride in a number of very interesting cars. The most memorable and noisy, being a 1926, 8 horsepower, twin cylinder Morgan.

If you are interested in prints of any images featured on the website or from my extensive archive of the events featured then please contact me.

If you like my approach to photographing vintage, veteran and classic cars, and think you would enjoy working with me then please contact me.

Living in Warrington Cheshire easy access to the motorway system means I am able to get to a wide range of locations and events within a couple of hours.

Finally, remember to revisit this website in the future as I will be creating new galleries and adding new images to existing galleries.
